Two more District meet records set on Day One
For the second week in a row, St. Mary’s Nayan Chand broke the junior boys 100m hurdles record Wednesday at the North Central District Track and Field Meet at Prime Minister’s Park.
Chand completed the race in 14.57 seconds, which beat Connor Johnson’s previous record of 14.63 in 2013.
But unlike last week at the city meet, Chand wasn’t the lone record breaker on Day One. At districts, he was joined by Carlton’s Anthony Antaya. Antaya broke the hand time record at the midget boys 1500m, finishing the race in 4:38.84.
Day Two will go on Thursday at Prime Minister’s Park.
