Teen boy pulled from Regina creek dies in hospital

Police in Regina are investigating a death after a 14-year-old boy was pulled from a creek in the city’s east end.

Police were first called to the creek near Victoria Avenue and Prince of Wales Drive at about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday. The caller said the boy had possibly died. A witness told News Talk Radio that someone was doing CPR on a boy before he was taken away by ambulance.

EMS tried to revive him and took him to hospital, but he was pronounced dead at around 1:30 p.m. His family has been notified.
