Alleged drug trafficking suspect arrested in La Ronge

La Ronge RCMP have arrested a man in connection to warrants issued by Prince Albert and Saskatoon Police in an ongoing drug investigation.

Gerald Arthur Laliberte, 34, was arrested following an investigation that led to 10 charges being laid against him.

These charges include escaping lawful custody, obstruction of justice, proceeds of crime, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking heroine, possession of crystal meth and four counts of breach of recognizance.

Laliberte appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on Monday and will be remanded until his next appearance on Jan. 26.
