Bootlegging charges laid in Pelican Narrows

RCMP have broken up an alleged bootlegging scheme in northern Saskatchewan.

On July.19, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Pelican Narrows and RCMP say a large quantity of marijuana and alcohol was seized.

A 29-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man are facing charges of bootlegging alcohol and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in Pelican Narrows provincial court on August. 20 and September 4.
