Backyard structure fire hits power lines

May 26, 2012 | 7:24 PM

Around 6:15 p.m. Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the backyard of a residence on the 2200-block of Sixth Ave. East.

Captain Lloyd Zwak and fire crews responded to the scene and said the structure was fully involved upon arrival, but has since been put under control.

“The fire has been knocked down right now, we’re just looking at some hot spots.”

The owner of the residence is unsure how the fire began. He said he arrived home around 6:10 p.m., changed his clothes, and then heard a loud popping noise.
