Sask. employment boomed last year

Jan 5, 2012 | 4:30 PM

It's becoming clearer and clearer that for those looking for work, Saskatchewan is the place to be.

The province's largest career-matching website said it posted more jobs in 2012 than ever before, and SaskJobs.ca said more than 150,000 jobs were advertised on its site last year.

That's up more than 39,000 from 2010, and last month alone saw a 43 per cent increase from December 2010 – and over 70 per cent of jobs posted in December 2011 were full-time positions.

The majority were for trades, transport, equipment operators, sales and service positions, business, finance and administration.
