When the firefighters arrived, there were four people standing outside the burning home. The four residents told the firefighters they were alerted and woken up by their dog because of the fire.

Crews performed an interior attack and were able to extinguish most of the blaze. There were no other people located inside the home when firefighters searched. It took them two hours to put out the fire completely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
