City snow plows moving into residential areas

Jan 15, 2019 | 10:52 AM

City crews will begin plowing snow in residential areas today, starting first with the Westview neighbourhood.

Plows will be making a second pass in residential areas across the city following the recent snowfall. The City is asking residents to move their vehicles off the street to allow graders to come through and reminds drivers that ‘no parking’ signs will be put up in neighbourhoods at least 12 hours prior to plowing. Parked cars left on the street could be ticketed and towed.

Residents are also reminded that plowing will result in snow accumulating along curbs, which could impact on-street parking. The City said snow lifts, or trucking snow out of neighbourhoods, is not part of the residential plowing schedule.
