Thieves make off with ATM from Shellbrook gas station

Jul 3, 2018 | 12:32 PM

A brazen robbery committed in the early morning hours of June 30 has police looking for two suspects.

Video camera footage sent to paNOW shows two individuals using a truck to smash the Tempo doors open before hooking up and stealing an ATM from the gas station.

“The inventory, fixtures, everything in the store [got] totally demolished in it’s path,” Kerby Tang, the Tempo manager said.

Tang noted the business is still open for one more day, before it will shut its doors due to previous plans to expand.

RCMP spokesperson Rob King told paNOW they were looking for information from the public regarding two suspects whose gender was unknown because their faces were covered.

He said the stolen truck used in the incident between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Saturday was taken from a local dealership and recovered around 10 a.m. the same day.

There is no word on where the stolen ATM may be.
