The up and downside of warmer weather on the streets
The good news on our main roads is that they’re drying out, but the downside of all this warmer weather is residential streets are softening up.
And they may stay messy for a while.
The city of Prince Albert’s roadways manager Brent Kennedy said the city doesn’t plan on plowing until after Christmas because of the inconvenience that can cause residents.
“It really benefits the residents for parking in front of their places [by not plowing],” he told paNOW. “No one likes the windrows that we leave behind when we go in there, so hopefully we can make it through until Christmas.”
