Prince Albert Catholic School Division celebrates 130 years
The Prince Albert Catholic School Division is celebrating 130 years of faith and education this year.
On Friday, division board chair, George Bolduc, welcomed staff, parents and Minister of Education Don Morgan to St. Mary’s High School to commemorate the occasion and reflect on the achievements of the board and its students over 13 decades of Catholic education.
Lorel Trumier, director of education for the division, said the first 130 years were about establishing and promoting education and faith in Prince Albert, while the next 130 will be about moving forward and building on past successes.
“I think the goal for the next 130 years is to continue to do what we do well,” she said. “Embrace faith and learning and respond to our children and our families in the Prince Albert Catholic areas.”
