Twister touches down northeast of Bethune while hail hammers Yorkton
It was another wild and stormy night Wednesday as a twister touched down northeast of Bethune while wind, rain and hail hammered parts of southern Saskatchewan
Environment Canada confirmed that a tornado touched down 10 kilometres northeast of Bethune at 5:33 p.m. Fortunately there was no damage or injuries reported from the twister.
Environment Canada meteorologist Jason Knight says in addition to the rain, the wind also blasted through the Moose Jaw area.
“We saw some gusts in about the 80 kilometre range, that was just behind the low in the evening hours as it pulled out of the area,” he said.
