It can happen to me or to you, to a family member or friends. Can you see it coming? No. Can you always tell someone has a brain injury? No. Is there a cure? No. 

There are 50,000 Canadians who suffer from a brain injury each year, 2500 in Saskatchewan alone.

You can acquire a brain injury from falls, assaults, concussions, traffic accidents, illness, brain tumors, aneurysms, strokes, drug or alcohol abuse and the list goes on. Acquired brain injury is characterized as a brain injury which has occurred after birth and is not the cause of any genetic or congenital disorder. It is unpredictable in its consequences. It affects who we are, the way we think, act, and feel. It can change everything about us in a matter of seconds.

The Saskatchewan North Acquired Brain Injury Association is the Prince Albert Chapter of the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association. We meet once a month on the last Sunday of each month and this includes survivors and caregivers, and support people.

Please support the Brain Boogie on September 12, 2015 at the Elks Hall,  93 – 8 st. East and walk or run on the Rotary Trail.
Registration  10:00 a.m.           Welcome 10:30 a.m.           BBQ & prizes to follow 
Kids 5 and under free.    Kids 6 – 17 can purchase the Kids Boogie Pack for $15.00 which includes registration, lunch, bracelet, and children’s activities. If registering a child please include age & t-shirt size.

Participants can choose to pay $40.00 registration fee or collect pledged.  A $20.00 pledge will receive a receipt.

To register online go to sbia.events@sasktel.net   or you can call  1-800-373-1555. You must be registered to enter or collect pledges. Monies raised is used to support activities for people with an ABIin the Prince Albert area.
