Saskatchewan Overnight

We are excited to announce the Saskatchewan Overnight Line-up for Telemiracle 39! These six amazing acts will entertain you between 2:15 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.; their actual performance times will be announced closer to the show. Be sure to tune in overnight during Telemiracle 39 to see these terrific Saskatchewan acts!

Hillside Alliance – Lloydminster

A rock/country band from Lloydminster, Hillside Alliance started playing together about three years ago for a local event. Over the years they have gotten the opportunity to play at several events both acoustic and plugged in, such as the Relay for Life, Lloydminster; the Summer Bash, Paradise Hill; and Telemiracle 38, Regina. They have several cover songs on YouTube and they are currently in the process of writing some originals that they hope to perform soon.

In With the Old – Kinistino, Osler, and Saskatoon

Northern Saskatchewan’s “In With The Old” seamlessly combines raw talent and prairie comraderie with a passion and respect for the music from the past. Young and dedicated, they take a unique approach to memorable old-tyme music through gifted harmonies and infectious song writing all told through a small town perspective.

This young trio, still all in their teens, is composed of Ellen Froese-Kooijenga on guitar, from a farm near Osler, Kasia Thorlakson of Kinistino on mandolin, and Jaxon Lalonde of Saskatoon on banjo and upright bass. The group met at the Northern Lights Bluegrass & Old Tyme Music Festival, all sharing a similar interest in acoustic music.

In the autumn of 2013, the three friends became a band. Since their formation, they have performed on Telemiracle; showcased at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards; and played at the Ness Creek Festival, John Arcand Fiddle Fest, Pickers’ Cup, the Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival, the Flute and Fiddle in Birch Hills, the Bon Temps Cafe, and the Bassment.

In July, they released their debut CD, “Rollin’ On Down The Plains” and had a very successful release show. Each member plays their own main instrument but often they will trade off and play each other’s instruments for a different dynamic.

They are highly influenced by great traditional bluegrass and old-time artists like Bill Monroe and The Stanley Brothers, but also by many modern bands, ranging in style from rock to folk to indie pop. In With The Old has a strong passion for their music and thrive on the excitement of performing live.

Lisa Moen – Saskatoon

Country music singer Lisa Moen and her country band Full Throttle perform at jamborees, cabarets, corporate functions, night clubs, house parties, small town dances, fairs and much more! They are ready to entertain any size crowd to Lisa’s country originals (including her debut song “Silly Boys Trucks Are For Girls” as heard on Canadian radio stations right now!) and popular country tunes. This Outlook, Saskatchewan girl has been singing professionally for ten years and her musical resume includes opening for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Neil McCoy and Trooper. She has performed at Craven Country Jamboree as well as at The Canadian Country Music Awards Country Cabaret. Her debut single was the #1 downloaded song to Canadian radio nation-wide on the day after it was released in August 2014. Lisa was raised in a country music family and has an at-home feeling of being onstage performing!

Rough and Wretched – Rosthern

Formed in the spring of 2012, our biggest struggle from the beginning was to find a vocalist who was willing to do the huge range of music we required. After many auditions, we finally found our vocalist in the drummer’s daughter who was filling in at practice. After six months she had improved to the point she was better than auditions. She was offered the position and shortly after we did 16 song sets for three fairs and events during the summer of 2014 for public experience. Our first full show was at the 2014 Rosthern Ukrainian Malanka. Our first bar show was in March 2014 in North Battleford. We are finding ourselves in a state of steadily increasing demand. Our line up consists of Jessica Koslowski- vocals; Nathan Buller Kormos – lead & rhythm guitars and backing vocals; Clayton Janzen – bass & rhythm guitars and backing vocals; and Clayton Koslowski – drums and backing vocals. Rock on!!!!

The Reckless Famous – North Battleford

Through the Members, The Reckless Famous (TRF) was ten years in the making and formed in August 2013. TRF’s profile includes a 2014 Western Canadian Tour (Feather+Rosery Tour), supporting headliners at the 2014 North American Indigenous Summer Games 2014, three performances featured on CTV Indigenous Circle, and over 40 shows across Western Canada, all within one year.

The Reckless Famous is a rock n’ roll band that fuses heavy/hard rock, blues, jazz, soul and funk genres, with hint of metal; all of which commands a uniquely edgy yet sexy sound that is topped by a captivating performance.

In words of TRF:
“…TRF is like Buckcherry meets Gun N’ Roses and Led Zeppelin, with a touch of James Brown. Think Hard Rock and James Brown Dancing. We’re both, we’re ‘Sexy Rock’…”
