Business of the Day – Northlands College
Educating northerners to work in the north is how Northlands College is helping build Saskatchewan’s future.
The college specializes in training residents for jobs in the province’s booming resource sector offering courses in mine engineering, radiation monitoring and environmental technician.
But the college also offers a wide array of courses outside the mining industry including literacy, basic education, vocational training and university courses through its three campus centres located in Buffalo Narrows, La Ronge, and Creighton.
Its courses aren’t just offered in those communities. Senior Program Coordinator Jason Kennedy says they are also offered outside their main campuses.
