Weekend wrap up for PA Police

Jul 18, 2012 | 7:03 AM

It was another busy weekend for the Prince Albert Police Service. They responded to almost 300 calls for service and arrested 68 people – 35 of them for public intoxication.

The majority of the calls were for disturbances, loud parties and false alarms. A few calls were of note.

Officers were on routine patrol in the 3200 block of Sixth Ave. East on Saturday morning when they saw a suspicious man walking in the area. He attempted to evade officers but was finally stopped and it was revealed the man was on probation with a curfew and a clause to reside in Rose Valley, SK.

When officers tried to arrest him, he fled the scene, but was arrested after a short foot chase and struggle.

Nathan Jason Lee Bluecloud, 18, has been charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer and three counts of breaching probation.

On Sunday morning around 1:00 a.m., an intoxicated male entered a residence in the 2500 block of Sixth Avenue East through an unlocked door. The homeowner did not know the man and asked him to leave. The man cooperated and responding officers arrested him in the yard.

Cameron Duquette of Prince Albert has been charged with three counts of breach of probation.
