Jeff Stoughton happy with perfect record at world men’s curling championships
Team Canada has impressed so far at the World Men's Curling Championships in Regina. Jeff Stoughton's rink is perfect after their first three matches and sit atop the standings heading into the rest of the week.
Stoughton capped off his perfect opening weekend with a 7-4 win over Germany on Sunday afternoon in front of another packed Brandt Centre.
As a team, Canada curled at a remarkable 90 percent for the entire match with Stoughton and lead Steve Gould leading the way with 94 percent success rate.
The Canadian skip knows as long as they're undefeated it bodes well to be playing in the gold medal game next Sunday, “You hate to stumble because it gives teams a chance so we want to go strong and get as many wins as possible before we ever get a loss.”
