Best Glass Shop : Uniglass Plus Ziebart

They are competitive, convenient and they leave things cleaner than when they found it. Those are just some of the reasons Uniglass Plus Ziebart was voted as the Best Glass Shop in Prince Albert.

Owners Shelley Gordon and Mike Kerkowich purchased the BOB award winning ‘6th Avenue Car Wash’ back in 2008.  The 12 bay self-serve car wash joined Uniglass Plus Ziebart in 2015 to offer the city and surrounding communities excellence in automotive detailing, windshield replacement, paint protection film and tint services.

“I feel super proud of receiving this recognition by the community,” Gordon said. “When we first started, we received a local award for best new business venture so I really hoped we might be considered for best glass shop in the future. It means a lot to us and our staff who work tirelessly to improve our visibility in the community.”

Uniglass Plus Ziebart has improved their visibility by improving visibility for others. They invite customers with stone chips to simply stop in and they guarantee next day delivery on windshield replacement.

“It is important to get stone chips fixed because your windshield is part of the structural integrity of your vehicle,” said Desirae Pranteau, Uniglass Plus Ziebart sales manager.  “Stone chips are like an infection. If you get one and it gets dirty…you can’t clean it well so it spreads. The smallest stone chip can take out your entire glass,” she explained.

The business has seven technicians, three of which are trained in stone chip repair and two glass installers. One of the glass installers is Gordon’s daughter. She is the first female Zeibart has trained on windshield replacement in Canada. Uniglass Plus Zeibart also makes the repair process as easy as possible for the customer.

“We just need your name, your number and your vehicle and after that we take care of everything,” said Pranteau. “We get your package policy sent over so you don’t have to.”

When a windshield is replaced at Uniglass Plus Ziebart, customers will leave with their vehicles washed, the dash wiped down and the front interior vaccumed. Aquapel, a rain repellent glass treatment that lasts for six months, is also applied to the windshield. The best glass shop in Prince Albert also offers a paint protection film and a 10 year warranty on window tinting.  After 55 years in the business, Zeibart has become a trusted name in the auto industry. 

In an effort to give back to the community, Uniglass Plus Ziebart started “Chips for Charity.” Ten percent of stone chip revenue will be donated to a different charity each month. Hope’s Home, a daycare that also provides medical care and respite services to children with complex medical needs, will be the first ‘Chips for Charity’ beneficiary. It is one more reason why this local business is considered among the best of the best.
