Owners Shelley Gordon and Mike Kerkowich describe 6th Avenue Carwash and Uniglass Plus Ziebart as an auto detail complex.  The 12 service bays for car washing are cleaned after every use, making sure you don’t step in someone else’s mud while cleaning, and are also lit with extra bright LED lights so that you can clearly see what you’re doing.  With cleanliness and extra lighting, the safety and security of their clients is of utmost importance.  Shelley Gordon and her husband Mike Kerkowich purchased 6th Avenue Carwash in 2008. Shelley and Mike decided to bring a Uniglass Plus Ziebart franchise to Prince Albert because it complemented the car wash business.  Uniglass Plus Ziebart has been in Canada for over 50 years.

To add to customer experience and education, Shelley hired Doug Whyley to join the team as Sales Manager for Uniglass Plus Ziebart. 

Doug explains what Uniglass Plus Ziebart has to offer Prince Albert, services such as interior detailing that extract stains and remove bacteria. They also offer SGI accredited windshield replacements and glass repair. The facility offers treatments such as AquaPel ®to keep water moving off your windshield and Securi-Clear® coverage for stone chips without having to go through your insurer.  All services offered right at the 6th Avenue Carwash location and help to keep your vehicle looking beautiful and maintained.

Uniglass Plus Ziebart also offers rust protection, undercoating and sound barrier services as well as diamond gloss paint protection and headlight restoration. Before-and-after photos of these services can be seen on their website or Facebook page, showcasing improvements and transformations.

The convenience for the customer is of utmost importance, and both Shelley and Doug explain how important it is to be able to make the customer’s visit as easy as possible.  With convenience in mind, the installation of credit card machines on the wash bay means simpler accounting for those that use the wash bays for work vehicles.

In June of 2016, the business had a grand reopening celebration, in which they highlighted and demonstrated the services available at the 6th Avenue Carwash and Uniglass Plus Ziebart. Additionally, they presented a cheque to Hope’s Home.

Shelley, Mike, and Doug would like to thank the community for voting for them in the Prince Albert BOB Awards, and invite them to come in and see what 6th Avenue Car wash & Uniglass Plus Ziebart can do for you. Shelley appreciates the support they’ve received from the community, especially with the water usage restrictions during the oil spill.

Uniglass Plus Ziebart won Best New Business Venture in the 2016 Samuel McLeod business awards. 6th Avenue Carwash was nominated for a Business Transformation award in the awards as well, recognizing the hard work and effort that Shelley, Mike and her team has put in.  New technology, new signage, new staff, and so much more over the span of four months was the spur to nominate them for the that award. Now as BOB award winners they are pleased with the response.
