Since first opening the doors 27 years ago Amy’s on Second has continued to exceed expectations.  Whether it’s an anniversary, birthday, or a special night out for two, you will find your experience remarkable. “At Amy’s our passion makes the difference and it is obviously the basis of the whole place,” said Richard Grenier, dining room manager at Amy’s on Second. “Everyone that works here is passionate about what they do. Everyone from the chef to our baker to our serving staff are all customer service orientated and that shows up on the plate and in the overall experience of the customer.”

Amy’s’ has the best wine list in town and the staff are always prepared to lend a hand in suggesting the perfect wine pairing for any meal.

“We have personally tried every wine on our wine list and we know what we sell and we sell it because we know that people will enjoy it,” said Grenier.  “So you can come here and enjoy a nice bottle of wine that won’t cost you a pile of money or you can enjoy something exclusive from a private owner that you can’t even get at the liquor store. It’s up to you.”

 Customer’s of Amy’s on Second can either enjoy a nice meal from their regular menu or take advantage of the restaurants daily features. Each afternoon and each evening Chef Kayla Kapacila creates and prepares something new and unique.

“You can come to Amy’s and have the meal of a lifetime or just have a salad with chicken and it’s still a special opportunity with a nice ambience and exceptional service,” said Grenier.

Amy’s decorates the tables with fresh flowers, linen tablecloths, and linen napkins. A fireplace warms the restaurant while soft background music plays. Every three months, a new local artist’s work is displayed on the walls.

“The atmosphere is a combination of a lot of things,” said Amy Hadley, owner of Amy’s on Second. “Attention to detail is important here and the staff is very knowledgeable.”

Amy’s on Second has been featured in Western Living, Canadian Living, the Lonely Planet, Fodor’s Canada and for 25 years in a row in Where to Eat in Canada. The restaurant received a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013 and in February of 2014 they were also featured on The Prairie Diner.
