Police charge youth with theft, woman with drug possession

The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 297 calls for service over the weekend, which led to 49 arrests.

Around 7 p.m. on Aug. 16, police went to a residence where the property owner restrained a male youth who stole a bike. Police arrested a 16-year-old youth, who was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

The following day, in an unrelated incident, officers responded around 1:06 p.m. to a suspicious vehicle on the 1000 block of Eighth Street East.
