Local spray parks will be closed for the day on Thursday due to water system upgrades.

The City of Prince Albert is advising that all spray parks in the city will be closed Thursday due to the upgrades. The work will not affect the city’s paddling pools or the Kinsmen Water Park, which will be open Thursday.

City administrators said water lines connecting spray parks will need to be closed for the day to allow to allow for new pipes to be tied in at the water treatment plant.

“Internally to the city, we just reduce our own consumption,” Jeff Da Silva, engineering services manager with the city told paNOW.

The city’s playground programs will not be affected and the spray parks are expected to be back online on Friday.
