Volunteer search efforts called off, police focusing on river for missing 4-year-old
Several witness interviews and evidence have led police to call off the ground search for missing four-year-old Sweetgrass Kennedy as the search is now focused on the North Saskatchewan River, according to an update from Prince Albert Police Service.
Volunteer search efforts are being called off. The search will continue by qualified search and rescue personnel.
Kennedy was reported missing to police on May 10. He was last seen in the 900 Block of Second St. East wearing a light blue Star Wars hoodie and orange Halloween pyjama pants.
Trained Search and Rescue Personnel including a Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit along with the Prince Albert Fire Department and Saskatchewan Emergency Management Fire and Safety personnel have been deployed to assist.
