CEO of PA and District Chamber of Commerce stepping down

After three years with the Prince and District Chamber of Commerce, CEO Merle Lacert is exploring greener pastures.

Merle Lacert is taking on a new job with a new business opening up in Prince Albert — a company called Heat Smart — which specializes in alternative energy projects.

Lacert’s last day with the Chamber of Commerce will be April 30.

The leadership transition will be smooth, as a new CEO has already been chosen.

Larry Fladager has accepted the job.  Fladager has worked at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, formerly known as SIAST, for 27 years —  he spent 18 years as the campus director for the Woodland Campus.
