P.A. Rural water advisory expands

Nov 20, 2014 | 9:28 AM

A precautionary drinking water advisory issued for the Prince Albert Rural Water Utility has been expanded to cover more users north of Prince Albert.

The advisory now includes all customers north of the North Saskatchewan River. A previous notice only affected water users from the edge of Prince Albert’s city limits to White Star Road.

The expansion of the advisory is due to further maintenance work being done by the City of Prince Albert on the supply line.

Work on the city’s lines, has resulted in the rural water utility’s north distribution system being contaminated. Because the safety of the water can’t be guaranteed at all times, the Water Security Agency (WSA) is asking affected residents to boil water for all uses.
