RCMP say boy found dead in Webb home was murdered

Three days after a young boy was found dead in his home near Swift Current, RCMP say the toddler was murdered.

A homicide investigation team from Regina is at the house in Webb, southwest of Swift Current. Two-year old William Michael Varyo was pronounced dead at his home when paramedics arrived Saturday afternoon.

His parents said he never awoke from a morning nap. Autopsy results led police to deem his death a homicide.

“No one has been taken into custody and no arrests have been made to date. Right now they are focusing their efforrs on the search of that residence,” said RCMP Sgt. Paul Dawson.
