Two people sent to hospital after drunk driving collision east of Regina

Two people were sent to Regina hospital with unknown injuries after a drunk driving collision east of the city Saturday night.

At 11:22 p.m., RCMP responded to a two vehicle accident on the Trans Canada Highway three kilometres east of Regina.

One person has to be extracted from their vehicle after being pinned and two people were transported to hospital.

While their condition is unknown, Mounties say both people were conscious. Alcohol has already been determined as a factor.

No names are being released.

Highway 1 east of Regina was closed for several hours while emergency crews worked. As of 5:45 a.m. Sunday, the highway was re-opened.
