Members of Prince Albert Métis Local 7 have a new leader.
At Saturday's annual general meeting, Darlene McKay stepped down from the position of president.
She was replaced by Felix Mathieu, the previous vice-president.
It's not the end for McKay she will be taking on Mathieu’s old position. She will remain a regional director provincially.
The reason for the swap is simple. The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan does not want regional directors heading up Metis locals.
