Nov 2, 2010 | 12:14 PM

The identity of the woman who died has not been confirmed by RCMP, but people in the community say it was 30-year-old Anita Beatty.

Her Facebook page has many posts with sad messages from friends and family.

The remains of the woman were found during an investigation into a fire in Stanley Mission, Monday.

A fire scene exam was performed with Prince Albert Grand Council Fire Investigators, Fire Commissioner’s Office Fire Investigators, the RCMP Fire Scene Examination Unit, and the RCMP Prince Albert Forensic Identification Unit.

An autopsy has been ordered by the Coroner’s Office and the identity of the woman is not yet made, so police are unable to release any details.

Police say a failure in the wood stove caused the fire.

The investigation is ongoing, however, foul play is not suspected.

RCMP received a call late Sunday evening, regarding a house fire in Stanley Mission.

Fire Crews responded and several people in the home were safely evacuated before the fire
began burning out of control.

The house belonged to Russell and Jessie Charles.

Stanley Mission is located 90 kilometres north of La Ronge.
