PA Sports Hall of Fame Call for Nominations Deadline Extended to December 31st

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan– The Board of Directors of the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame has extended the deadline for nominations for the 2011 Induction Banquet until December 31st, 2010.

     The PASHOF is calling for nominations for their 21st induction ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 21st, 2011 in the Ches Leach Lounge, adjacent to the Sports Hall of Fame.

     Nominations are being sought in all four categories:

• Team
• Athlete
• Builder
• Meritorious Service

     Nomination forms can be found on the City of Prince Albert website, under the tab Visitors at www.citypa.ca or by calling Jody Boulet, Hall secretary at 953-4818.   

     Nominations may be made by an individual, club or association and must be signed by the nominator. Nominations should outline as much factual information as possible, giving details of the accomplishments of the nominees. Where possible, the claimed details of the accomplishments or service record should be supported by documentary evidence.

     Nominations will be reviewed by a special Nomination Review Committee. If the nomination does not meet the required criteria, the nominator will be notified. If the nomination is accepted but not chosen for induction that particular year, the nominator will be notified and the file reviewed the following year.

     The original deadline was November 30, 2010 has been extended to the end of December to allow more nominations to come forward.
