Car-snowplow crash sends three to hospital

Jan 7, 2011 | 12:32 PM

Three people are in hospital after a car collided head on with a snowplow just west of Prince Albert.

It happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 40, north of Parkside. The female driver of the car and her small child were transported to Shellbrook Hospital, as was the driver of the snowplow.

The child and snowplow operator are both listed in good condition. The 40-year-old woman was transferred to hospital in Saskatoon in serious but stable condition.

The Ministry of Highways is reminding people to drive with extreme care, and caution, said spokeswoman Kirsten Leatherdale.
