Highway crash sends three to hospital

Three people have been sent to hospital following a highway collision in the town of Shellbrook at about 1:15 this afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highways 3 and 55 between a Ford Escape and a truck pulling a bobcat, said Evan Naber, who could see the crash site from Naber Ford in Shellbrook.

The victims were all taken to Shellbrook hospital for treatment, said a Parkland Ambulance spokesperson.

As of 3:30 p.m. two people remain in Shellbrook Hospital in good condition, while a third person has been transferred to Royal University Hospital in serious condition.
