NDP picks Saskatchewan Rivers candidate

A Big River business owner will represent the NDP in the Saskatchewan Rivers riding in this year's provincial election.

Jeanette Wicinski-Dunn was selected at a nomination meeting Thursday night, at the Big River Community Hall.

“I am delighted to welcome Jeanette to the new NDP team as we provide positive change
for the residents of Saskatchewan Rivers in 2011,” said NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter, in a press release.

“Jeanette is a dedicated volunteer who has spent many years building and improving her community. I know she will bring her formidable business, leadership and organizational skills to her next role as the MLA for Saskatchewan Rivers.”

Wicinski-Dunn owns Mind, Body, and Spirit Salon and spa, she's also a former town councillor.

The NDP has nominated 37 candidates for the 2011 election.
