Head-on crash kills one, sends seven to hospital

One person is dead and seven are injured following a head-on crash involving a car and SUV in Northern Saskatchewan.

RCMP said the two-vehicle collision occurred around 9 p.m. Sunday on highway #945, a grid road located 20 kilometres north of Chitek Lake.

When officers arrived at the crash site, they found a man, 24, unconscious.

Despite attempts to revive him, the man from Pelican Lake was pronounced dead at the scene, said RCMP.
