Stolen van filled with lamb carcasses found in North Battleford

Some lambs awaiting the butcher’s knife ended up on a joyride instead.

Battlefords RCMP were called Wednesday to investigate a report of an abandoned van in a parking lot in downtown North Battleford.

The van turned out to have been filled with lamb carcasses worth around $40,000.

“It was suspicious because the person could see that there were carcasses inside,” Sgt. Amber Clark said.
