Burns family copes with accused’s not guilty plea
After months of delays in court, the family of a murder victim is struggling with a not guilty plea entered in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
The body of Monica Burns, 28, was found on Jan. 17 on a snowmobile trail outside the city.
Todd Daniel McKeaveney, 38, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder a week and a half later.
On Thursday, he appeared by video link from the Regina Correctional Centre in court.
