Hiker rescued by paramedics

May 13, 2015 | 9:04 AM

Parkland Ambulance paramedics helped a 21-year-old woman hiking near the La Colle Falls dam site Tuesday night.

The woman was injured and hard to reach. Paramedics had to use an ATV and a mobile response unit to get to her.

She was taken to the hospital in good and stable condition.

This is the second time this year the mobile response unit has been used.

The mobile response unit is specially designed for areas such as trails or remote locations.
