Catechetics: Family, Youth, Children – Christine Taylor
May 30, Altar Server Appreciation Day – Will take place at Par Place, just west of Prince Albert on the Shellbrook Highway. In case of rain venue will be moved into Sacred Heart Cathedral and Rivier Academy. The day will include games, sports and lots of fun. A closing celebration with Bishop Thévenot, M. Afr. will include a special recognition certificate and gift for all servers present who have served 5 years or more. Cost is $10 per person before May 27, $15 after the early bird date. Registration forms will be online by April 30 and mailed out to each of the parishes shortly afterwards.
Altar Server Appreciation Day Help Needed – This year for the Altar Server Appreciation Day on May 30, we are trying something new. The Diocese is putting on an Amazing Race Event at Par Place (west of Prince Albert on the Shellbrook Hwy) and we need volunteers to help set-up, run stations, snack and water stations, etc. If you are interested in volunteering in any of these areas from 10 am to 4 pm on May 30, please contact Christine Taylor at 306-922-4747 ext. 227 or Andrea Langlois at 306-922-4747 ext. 228.
June 14, St. Therese of the Little Flower Shrine – The 91st annual pilgrimage in honor of St. Theresa of the Little Flower will be held on June 14, 2015 in Wakaw, SK. Registration begins at 9:00am with the Way of the Cross at 9:15. Bishop Albert Thévenot, M. Afr. will give speak on the family at 10:00am. The sacrament of Reconciliation will also be offered during this time. Lunch is at 11:30 am in the church hall. The outdoor Eucharistic Celebration begins at 2:00pm.
