Previewing Prince Albert’s World Championship Fastball
International men’s fastball is returning to Prime Minister’s Park in Prince Albert.
Team Canada will host Venezuela in a tune-up for both before competing in the World Championships at the end of the month in Saskatoon.
Organizer Kalen Kovitch said Tuesday’s doubleheader is a rare opportunity for local fastball fans.
“This is the highest level of ball, not just in our country, but in the world.” said Kovitch. “This tournament that’s coming to Saskatoon at the end of the month is the best ball players in the world. It’s an event that doesn’t come to North America very often – it’s an event that doesn’t come to Canada all that often – so the chance to see these ball games are few and far between.”
