2015 Canada Day Celebration Cancelled Until Next Year

Due to smoke and air quality concerns, 2015 Canada Day celebrations in Kinsmen Park were cancelled for July 1, 2015.

Options for rescheduling were considered by Canada Day organizers: The Prince Albert Multicultural Council and The Prince Albert Royal Canadian Legion. Unfortunately, we will not be able to deliver Canada Day fireworks this year, due to the current dryness and ban on fireworks in the region. There may also still be smoke and weather concerns. Therefore, the decision was made not to reschedule, and instead, to look to the future, and to collaborate with the City of Prince Albert to plan for 2016.

Our thoughts must be with our northern neighbours, affected by the many forest fires in their respective communities. We hope for safety for all, for families, their communities, and for all those fighting fires, volunteering and supporting in the region.
