Neighbourhood on the lookout for suspicious activity

Jul 27, 2015 | 6:25 AM

Prince Albert Police said they have no update yet regarding Friday’s Crescent Acres suspicious vehicle and potential luring report.

That won’t stop the parents and residents of the community from taking precautions to protect the children residing there.

The close-knit neighbourhood that is close by to two elementary schools had a potentially scary incident on Friday around 3 p.m.

A child claimed to be approached by a stranger in an older white van. The child then ran home and reported it to his/her parents. Police were called and went to investigate the report but didn’t see anything.

Residents in the quiet community said that time of day is very quiet and something out of the ordinary would definitely be noticed.

A few residents said they didn’t see anything fitting the description, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to ignore the report.

This community is committed to making sure no other children will be approached.

The suspect is described as being a caucasian male, between the ages of 50 and 60, with blue eyes and a possible scar on his left cheek.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident can contact Prince Albert Police at 306-953-4222.
