The Prince Albert Whiskey Jacks inaugural season in the North Sask Rugby Union second division came to a close on Saturday, but not before a significant accomplishment.
The Whiskey Jacks beat the Saskatoon Gophers 41-19 in Saskatoon to win their fourth consecutive game. They started out the year 0-4 but after getting into their groove, the Whiskey Jacks can now head into the offseason with a .500 record.
Whiskey Jacks head coach Dominic Elsbury calls his team’s improvement “enormous” from the start of the season until Saturday’s final game.
