Sep 28, 2015 | 11:52 AM

Two years after a fatal stabbing on the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation, a murder trial has begun at Melfort Court of Queen’s Bench.

Jordan Thomas Lumberjack, 32, is facing a charge of second degree murder in the death of Lance Severeight.

On Sept. 21, 2013, Severeight was found at a residence on the reserve, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries before making it to hospital.

RCMP have said the two men knew each other.

Two weeks have been set aside for the trial.
