Saskatoon voters can expect free bus service on election day after approval from city council.
Councillors and the mayor made the move after hearing from people on social media about a similar decision in Prince George, which will also offer free bus service on Oct. 19.
The move comes with an estimated cost of $13,000.
Council will also look at offering free bus service for all other elections, including the provincial election expected this spring.
