Early voters set the tone in federal election; 95 per cent increase in P.A.
Elections Canada have released the advance poll numbers, and in tune with the rest of the nation, the Prince Albert riding saw a significant number of early voters cast their ballot.
According to preliminary figures, the riding of Prince Albert had 6,521 electors. This is a 95 per cent increase from the last federal election in 2011 that saw 3,338 electors come out.
The Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding saw a 148 per cent increase in voter turnout with 4,179 electors compared to 1,686 in 2011.
The new riding of Carlton Trail-Eagle Creek also saw a large number of turnouts with 7,093 electors.
