Ford dealership celebrates its upgrade

Jun 16, 2016 | 6:59 AM

Music, dancing and, of course, ribbon cutting the grand opening of the new Lakeland Ford dealership in Prince Albert.

Hundreds came to celebrate June 15, from Ford enthusiasts to small children.

The opening included dancing from First Nations performers, music from Donny Parenteau and speeches from the top brass at Ford Canada.

President and CEO of Ford Canada Dianne Craig called the opening ‘wonderful’ and said the company is upgrading dealerships nationwide and Lakeland Ford is a great example of a successful upgrade.

“We are so proud of our dealers because they have made massive investments in our brand, and it is paying off,” she said, adding, “Customers are coming to see, they are very intrigued by the inside of the building, they (dealership) have already seen an increase in sales.”

The project cost over $18 million and most of the work was sourced in Prince Albert according to dealership owner Vaughn Wyant.

“It’s really an investment in Prince Albert… our customers are happy with it,” he said.
