Sweden beats Canada Black 2-1 to win world under-17 hockey challenge

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Adam Bokvist scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period as Sweden edged Canada Black 2-1 on Saturday to win the world under-17 hockey challenge.

Bokvist scored 3:50 into the period while on the power play to put the Swedes ahead for good.

Linus Nassen made it a 1-1 game in the second period after Eli Zummack gave Canada Black the lead at 15:44 of the first.

Olof Lindbom made 27 saves for the win.
