QMJHL Roundup: Mooseheads top Screaming Eagles 4-2 as Halifax stays undefeated
SYDNEY, N.S. — Raphael Lavoie scored twice as the Halifax Mooseheads beat the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4-2 on Friday evening to stay undefeated to start the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.
Samuel Asselin supplied the game-winning power-play goal for the Mooseheads (3-0-0) at 14:53 of the third period while Arnaud Durandeau had the other.
Mathias Laferriere and Adam McCormick scored for the Screaming Eagles (1-2-0).
Alexis Gravel turned aside 28 shots for Halifax. Kevin Mandolese stopped 24 shots for Cape Breton.
