MONCTON, N.B. — Alexander Khovanov scored twice as the Wildcats downed Saint John.

Khovanov racked up the game-winning goal on the power play for the Wildcats (2-1-0) at 1:44 of the second period. Jakob Pelletier, Jeremy McKenna and Jacob Hudson also scored for the Wildcats. Maxim Cajkovic and Filip Prikryl scored for the Sea Dogs (1-2-1-0).

Francis Leclerc turned away 22 shots for Moncton. Alex D’Orio kicked out 31 shots for Saint John.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Samuel Poulin scored twice as the Phoenix topped Quebec Remparts.

Oliver Okuliar had two goals, including the game-winning goal for the Phoenix (1-1-1) at 9:41 of the second period. Louis-Filip Cete scored for the Remparts (2-2-0).  

Brendan Cregan kicked out 32 shots for Sherbrooke. Dereck Baribeau turned aside 27 shots for Quebec.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Simon Lafrance scored twice as the Tigres subdued Val-d’Or.

Lafrance scored the game-winning goal for the Tigres (1-1-1) at 10:11 of the third period while Egor Serdyuk also scored. Jeremy Michel had the lone goal for the Foreurs (0-3-1).

Tristan Cote-Cazenave turned away 29 shots for Victoriaville. Mathieu Marquis turned aside 30 shots for Val-d’Or.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Justin Ducharme had two goals as Chicoutimi picked up its first win with a victory over the Armada.

Ducharme supplied the game-winning goal for the Sagueneens (1-2-0) at 14:24 of the first period. Christophe Farmer and Artemi Kniazev also scored. Peyton Hoyt scored for the Armada (1-1-0).

Alexis Shank kicked out 26 shots for Chicoutimi. Emile Samson stopped 24 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Gregor MacLeod had two goals as the Voltigeurs routed Shawinigan.

Nicolas Guay registered the game-winning goal for the Voltigeurs (2-1-0) at 4:32 of the first period. He scored twice in the contest. Pavel Koltygin, Cedric Desruisseaux, Joseph Veleno, Dawson Mercer (two goals), Felix Lauzon, Xavier Simoneau and Benjamin Corbeil also scored for the Voltigeurs. Mathieu Boulianne scored for the Cataractes (1-3-0).

Olivier Rodrigue stopped 17 shots for Drummondville. Antoine Coulombe combined with Lucas Fitzpatrick for 33 saves for Shawinigan.

GATINEAU, Que. — Jordan Martel scored the game-winning goal as Baie-Comeau Drakkar squeaked out a win over the Olympiques to stay perfect on the season.

Martel’s marker for the Drakkar (4-0-0) came at 10:34 of the second period. Xavier Bouchard and Ivan Chekhovich also scored. Shawn Boudrias had two goals scored for the Olympiques (2-1-0).

Kyle Jessiman kicked out 27 shots for Baie-Comeau. Tristan Berube saved 28 shots for Gatineau.
