Rancourt appointed deputy whip in NDP shadow cabinet shuffle
When Nicole Sarauer assumed the role of interim leader of the Saskatchewan NDP last week, the party made adjustments to its critical portfolios.
Prince Albert Northcote MLA Nicole Rancourt was recently appointed deputy whip in the legislature.
“We have been working really hard and it is really nice to be recognized for the hard work that I feel that I have been doing,” Rancourt said of her new role. She was eager to take on more of a leadership role in caucus and appreciative of her colleague’s confidence in her abilities.
Some her new duties will include assisting Opposition Whip Doyle Vermette and to ensure that members are present in the legislature for voting and when other legislative business is needed.
