Sturgeon Lake man facing child porn charges

A 22-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is accused of making child pornography and distributing it.

George Edward Sanderson is in custody and is scheduled to appear at Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday, Oct. 31.

He is facing two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference, incidents which allegedly occurred on the Sturgeon Lake and James Smith First Nations respectively.

Charges were laid on Thursday, Oct. 27.

The investigation was done by the Saskatchewan Integrated Child Explotation Unit which is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service.
